Whether it's a stroll by the river or dinner in one of the restaurant facing the water, one of the best places to relax during the hot New York summer is Battery Park City. Located at the most southern point of the island it's covered in parks and marinas where you sometimes don't feel like you're in New York at all. I love going for a run here but even sitting on a bench with an ice-cream brings me a feeling of complete bliss.
